Imagine walking out of your office for two minutes. Take a break, and have a snack. But imagine coming back to your office, and your wallet is gone. What do you do?

Staff member Pam Partain left her office for a quick trip to the vending machine, but she found her wallet missing when she got back. Within an hour the thief had run up more than $1300 worth of charges at local stores. With the help of Public Safety, an email was sent out to the entire school as soon as security photos were available.

Two hours later, Krista Shields, a graduating senior in criminal justice, reported sighting the alleged thief who was arrested later the same day in Chattanooga on shoplifting charges. Through the help of our very own Roadrunner, he was charged with the theft of Partain's wallet and with making seven fraudulent charges in Dalton.

"We all have to work together," said Chief Michael Masters, who expressed pride in our graduating senior. Thanks to sharp Roadrunner Krista Shields for getting involved!
